The NSPCC Milton Keynes Half Marathon has built an excellent reputation for its high standards of organisation, facilities, marshaling and has become a key event in the Milton Keynes sporting calendar attracting both experienced and first time runners from across a wide area.
Runners have always enjoyed this event with ample toilet, changing and shower facilities, baggage drop, car parking and chip timing. This year we've made exciting changes with a new route and by moving the event from July to September and adding the option of a 10k run.
Both races will start together. You will run one loop of this new course for the 10k (6.2 miles) and 2 loops for the half marathon (13.1 miles; 21.1k). The course is almost entirely traffic free on the Redways (purpose built cycle paths) and takes in some of the very best sights of Milton Keynes including the Grand Union Canal, woodland and Campbell Park.
There will be water-stations at 5km intervals and at the finish and medical support will be available at the race site and along the course.
So, whether you're a serious runner looking for a fast half marathon course for your personal best or a 'fun runner' wanting to raise as much as you can to support our work with vulnerable children, this is the event to put in your calendar today!
All the money raised at this event will help support the work of the NSPCC Schools Service, helping children to understand the types of abuse and how to protect themselves.
