Le Tour de Q! 2016

Le Tour de Q! 2016

Information and registration

Friday
20 May 2016

This year's Le Tour de Q! will be taking place on Friday 20th May at 12.30 pm

As with last year's event the ambition is for this to be a fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Support – our partner charity – although fundraising is not obligatory. Last year we raised over £20,000 for the charity, this year we're aiming for £25,000 to take Tour le Q through the £60,000 target in just three years.

We are partnering again with Allez Sportives who have helped us plan the routes and will be here again to help with the logistics on the day. The guys will be coming in to visit us at QTHV on the 24th March, giving you the opportunity to ask questions about the routes or any other queries you have about the event.

Help to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients in the UK. Tell your friends and family about your participation in the Tour de Q and have them sponsor you. Fundraising is easy - set up your own fundraising page on www.justgiving.com or use the corporate Justgiving page https://www.justgiving.com/letourdeq2016 for your fundraising efforts. It takes very little effort to make a big difference for people affected by cancer.

Details

  • All routes will be starting and finishing at QTHV

Route details

  • 10 mile Le Tour de Q!: Entry fee for this distance will be £10. Following on from last year, for first time riders. A great option for those who feel apprehensive about taking part in the 30 mile event (see the route map here)
  • 30 mile Le Tour de Q!: Entry fee for this distance will be £20. More of a challenge, but achievable for occasional cyclists. A quiet flattish route through the beautiful Berkshire countryside (see the route map here)
  • 60 mile Le Tour de Q!: Entry fee for this distance will be £30. As always, the 60-mile route provides a challenge for more experienced cyclists. This year's route isn't quite as savage as 2015 but it's equally stunning with some 2,800ft elevation for more experienced cyclists able to climb and maintain a 13/14 mph average (see the route map here)

Please note: entrants to all the rides must be 18 years of age

If you have any questions about the event, please email us at macmillancancersupport@quintiles.com

We look forward to seeing you on the day!
