Due to Covid restrictions for 2020, The Montane Howgills Trail event will host a half marathon and 10k option. The event is based in Sedbergh and the course passes through the Howgill Fells, part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It’s a picturesque setting, but the course has real ‘bite’ with some serious climbing in the early miles for both courses. The paths are grassy and not technical or rocky underfoot, but you’ll be working hard to summit ‘Winder’, ‘Arant Haw’, ‘Calder’, ‘The Calf’ and ‘Fell Head’. The format will be altered slightly, with runners having individual start times rather than hosting a mass start, but we can still guarantee and amazing day of running.
