THE INTELLICORE RED RUN SUPPORTING FRIENDS OF ANCHOR

Introduction

Friends of ANCHOR – Helping to make Northeast Scotland’s cancer and haematology care the best it can be. ANCHOR stands for Aberdeen and North Centre for Haematology, Oncology and Radiotherapy. The ANCHOR Unit covers the dedicated wards and clinics within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for Oncology and haematology patients.

The Red Run supporting Friends of ANCHOR is returning for a 5th year. It will consist of a 10k Run, 5k Run and a combined 5k and 10k ‘Regal Red’ challenge. All routes are relatively flat and suitable for all runners, All routes begin at Fetternear Hall and the 10k takes place partially on open public roads. For this reason, we strongly advise against the use of headphones. All routes will be heavily marshalled and well signposted, and we ask that you take great care and adhere to all marshals’ guidance. The 5k will be completely closed off to traffic on an officially closed road and will be very heavily marshalled to ensure safety.

All finishers will get a 1 Medal and 1 T Shirt

Water Station

There will be 1 water station just before the 5k mark on the 10k race.

8.55 – 10.15 – REGISTRATION/CAR PARK CLOSED – DO NOT ARRIVE IN THIS TIME WINDOW

10.30 – 10k Presentation

11.15 – 5k Warm Up and Safety Brief

11.30 – 5k Run Starts

12.15 – 10k & Regal Red Presentations

ENTRIES WILL CLOSE ON THE 4th JUNE AND NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN ON THE DAY

Parking

There will be parking at Netherton Business Centre and in adjacent fields to the event if needed, this will be fully marshalled and please park where the marshals ask you to. You will only be able to enter the road for parking from the Kemnay side as we will be operating a 1 way system for the safety of the runners.

Please car share/walk/cycle to event where possible.
