West Glam XC - Round 2 - Gnoll - hosted by Neath Harriers

The second fixture consists of a tough 2 lap, 5 mile course of the Gnoll Park.

Registration will be open on the lakeside of The Gnoll Visitor from 8:45am. All pre-registered numbers will be sorted into clubs, so to save time can only team captains collect these.

Due to the nature of the course, the men will start at 10am and the women will start at 10.05am. Surface underfoot will be a mix of grass, mud, and uneven stoney path, with many exposed tree roots and rocks.

Please note – This is a CROSS COUNTRY race on an arduous course over mixed terrain. Footwear - Trail shoes recommended or road shoes with sufficient grip, Spikes are NOT permitted.

Please ensure that the race is within your capabilities. 

There is a water crossing that you will race through on each lap (you may get wet feet) and there is also one marshalled road crossing.

The course will this year travel through the newly renovated walled area of the ruins. Once again, a slightly uphill finish at the end of the second lap.

The race is limited to 470 runners. Should this sell out prior to the day - there will be NO on the day entry. We will not be holding back any day entries. Transfers are NOT permitted.

You need to make sure that you have selected the correct team when entering. Once the race has started, this cannot be changed or updated.

If you are an affiliated runner, you MUST put down your Welsh Athletics URN in step 2 of the entry process. Without this, you will be contacted to pay the additional £2

Extremely limited parking – Please car share as much as possible.

Free parking, in the main car park, for the duration of the race for all competitors – please collect parking ticket from registration (Please note – there are only 4 official parking bays at the bottom pond, last year a lot of athletes received a parking fine for parking here!)

Toilets and refreshments available in the café located inside The Gnoll Visitor Centre.

The course is run on public land. Please be mindful of and courteous towards other park users.

HEADPHONES are not permitted for any part of the race. If you choose to wear them you will be disqualified from the race and your time not recorded.
