Following on from the highly successful inaugural event in 2013, we are heading back to the Caribbean! There are four distances to choose from - each with individual and relay entry options. Come and join us for an end-of-the season luxury treat and race a triathlon on the beautiful, laid back island of St Lucia. We are expecting competitors to come from all over the world for this exciting event.

Distances

  • The Dagger: 200m Swim, 6.6km Bike, 2.5km Run
  • The Pistol: 750m Swim, 13.2km Bike, 5km Run
  • The Cutlass: 1500m Swim, 26.4km Bike, 10km Run
  • The Musket: 2250m Swim, 39.6km Bike, 15km Run

Each distance can be entered as an individual, or as a relay team. (Relay teams can be two or three people covering each discipline)

Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third Male and Female in each individual race. However, there has to be at least eight people racing in that category. Relay team prizes will be awarded to the first team only.

And don't forget the children's events: (please enter online before the day).

  • For 5 - 9yrs there will be a 100m swim, an 800m bike and an 800m run as their challenge.
  • For 8 - 15yrs there is the aquathlon (swim/ run) over a 200m swim and an 800m run.

There will aslo be a Special Needs Children Event after main children's races have finished.

Course

A breathtaking scenic route with plenty of tough hills and partially closed roads will set the stage for healthy competition between the Caribbean Islands and the rest of the world.

Making the most of the trip

A number of celebrities will be joining us in St Lucia together with British Olympic legend Daley Thompson (2 Olympic Gold medals in the Decathlon). There will also be a number of masterclasses in the run-up to race day, each one led by a past Olympian. We can now confirm that Olympian Steve Cram will be joining the triathlon team for the event week.

We recommend that you arrive at least five days before the race to acclimatise (it's always 30 degrees plus and very humid). Come and enjoy the host of pre-event parties together with activities (aquathlon, beach run, open water swim, master classes as well as a pre-race party) in the week leading up to the main event – the triathlon, so make a holiday out of the event and bring your partner/ family or come on your own. A well earned post-race party can be added to your entry - a five star hot buffet meal with 10 drinks included and a chance to mix with fellow competitors and Olympians. We would love you to join us for a spectacular post-race celebratory ocean boat trip to the Pitons on Sunday too.

One of the stated aims of the event is to support and grow triathlon in the Caribbean, especially in St Lucia. The organising team visit local schools to promote triathlon and encourage the children to get into sport. We encourage athletes to bring out no-longer used triathlon t-shirts to give to the local athletes and volunteers, This went down really well last year, please bring them to the race registration.
