The Fourth Annual Jennings Rivers Ride

FOUR stunning Lake District bike routes for cyclists of all abilities

ONE great charity - Cumbria Community Foundation

The Jennings Rivers Ride reveals some of the UK’s finest scenery and cycling terrain from the heart of the Lake District all the way out to the Irish Sea. It’s a series of four bike rides which start and finish in Keswick. It’s called the Jennings Rivers Ride because sections of the routes follow the affected river courses and criss-cross over many of the bridges that were either destroyed and replaced, or were badly damaged during the floods in 2009.

Cycling For A Reason

The Jennings Rivers Ride is held to raise money for the work of Cumbria Community Foundation. The Foundation is at the heart of community life. Cumbria Community Foundation make grants to local charities and people in need. These grants help young people and older people, those living with disabilities and those recovering from illness.

Your entry fee covers the cost of staging the event and all additional proceeds go directly to The Cumbria Community Foundation. If you would like to learn more about Cumbria Community Foundation check out their website.

The Event Registration Form must be completed by a person aged 18 years or over.

Participants under the age of 18 years will be allowed to participate in the Family Challenge with the consent of their parent or legal guardian who must sign the Event Registration Form on behalf of the under-age rider. The parent / legal guardian must accompany the underage rider throughout the event. Signing is also an acceptance for the actions and consequences of the under-age rider.

Riders between the ages of 16 and 17 may enter the Community Circuit but a parent / legal guardian must accompany these riders throughout the event. One adult can accompany up to six young riders.

Groups

One person can enter on the behalf of a group, as long as they have all the relevant information. The Results Base system allows you to create a profile and add multiple people to it before entering but you will need to have all their details to complete the process. Once you have all the people in your profile you can then select which ride to enter them into. This is also the case for families entering the Family Challenge, you will need to add your family members to your profile first.

If you are entering the Family Challenge you will be asked for a Team Name at the first step of the process. Please use something like Family <your family name> (for example, Family Robinson). The system just needs something to group the people together with so that it can allocate one price to the three people.
