Nettleden Lodge, Nettleden, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire HP1 3DB
The Aldbury Triathlon is slightly unconventional in that the opening swim is replaced by a 2000m row on a stationary rowing machine. The cycle leg is 27km and the closing run is 5km and nearly all off-road.
And, just to reinforce the fact that this is an event that's a little out of the ordinary, the venue is Nettleden Lodge, a truly exceptional 17th Century Tudor house nestled in the picturesque and peaceful Golden Valley in Hertfordshire. Surrounded by 13 acres of glorious countryside, beautiful rural fields and forests as well as its own lake, Nettleden Lodge provides a stunning backdrop for the event.
The event's purpose is to raise money for two charities: Cancer Research UK and Harrison's Fund. 100% of your entry goes to them, no costs are deducted. Both charities also have online donation pages that you can use to make further contributions, use the links at the right.
Entry fees
The adult race is £35 plus small service charge to cover the cost of processing your credit or debit card.
The children's race is free to enter.
