This is the ninth edition of the Leatherhead Rotary Trail 10km, run for the fifth time in late April to capture the delights of the bluebell-carpeted woodland on Headley Heath near Leatherhead in Surrey, an area of outstanding beauty managed by the National Trust.
The route weaves in and out of the pathways through the heathland, returning to the start area a couple of times making it great for spectators.
The course is undulating (with one hill on each lap) featuring pleasant open heathland as well as narrow woodland paths. There are spectacular views, and, of course, at this time of year the carpet of bluebells.
As in previous years, all profits made by Leatherhead Rotary will be donated to their designated charity and for 2017 it is the TBC.
