The Clumber Park Duathlon is the perfect, early season event to either try out your first multi-sport event, test your post-Christmas fitness or maybe qualify for the Great Britain Age Group.
The run bike run event is set in the picturesque north Nottinghamshire’s Clumber Park, one of the finest National Trust venues in the country, covering over 3,800 acres of parkland, heath & woods – much of which you will see during the bike & run sections.
The event is split into two distances; a sprint and a standard distance. The run sections take place on fully closed tarmac roads and feature steady climbs at the beginning – but don’t worry, this means you will be running downhill to the first transition & finish line. The bike course is through some of the most beautiful tree lined routes in the UK, including some closed roads with Clumber Park.
The OSB Event has been selected as the Triathlon England National Duathlon Championships, and once again been selected to offer GB age-group qualification places in 2018, for both the sprint and the standard distance events at the 2018 & 2019 ITU World Championships and 2019 ETU European Championships.
Sprint Distance Duathlon - 5k Run, 20k Bike, 2.5k Run
Standard Distance Duathlon - 10k Run, 40k Bike, 5k Run
The Clumber Park Duathlon will be a friendly, yet competitive and highly professional event at a magnificent venue.
The one thing we haven’t been able to control over the past years is the weather! It can be unpredictable, so we would suggest that you keep an eye on the forecast to decide if it’s a tri-suit or your thermals!
Don’t forget, if you want to qualify for the GB Age-Group team, you need a BTF licence and to have registered your interest in being part of the National team. Good luck!
