Swim Section is now confirmed as CANCELLED
After speaking to Eden council and a site visit yesterday (see photo) we believe that the risk to competitors is too much for the swim section to go ahead and with the forecast being more of the same for next week, the lake is likely to get worse. We understand that some competitors might not be happy with this decision, but we have to think about the safety of all of the all competitors. We have received messages from people saying they have swam in this section of Ullswater and been extremely ill the next day.
We have kept the first run section as short as possible to allow the field to spread out allowing a safe exit from transition onto the road. For those that are worried about doing an extra run, don't feel it is necessary to sprint round, take your time and jog or walk this lap.
Sprint & Standard Distances: 1 lap of the run course then T1, Bike, T2, Run

Location – Park Foot Caravan & Camping Park Howtown Road, Pooley Bridge, Penrith, Cumbria CA10 2NA
Facilities – Toilets for both male/female are available. Ample parking on the event field. Refreshments available. Shower facilities are available on site at a small cost (20p)

Race Numbers – Race numbers, timing chips, etc will be issued at race registration. If any updates are required to the race information they will appear on the Sport in Action home page.
Registration – 11:30am to 13:30pm

Standard distance – Swim course - Bike course - Run course
Risk Assessment – A full course risk assessment will be on display at the event HQ on race day together with maps of the route, the race permit and the measurement certificate in accordance with UKA rules (Permit No TBA).
Race Safety Briefing – The race briefing for both distances will take place close to transition at 14:05pm.
Prizes
Prize presentation – Prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female finishers will take place at approximately 18:50pm.
Prizes – 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male & Female. Age Group prizes will be awarded as follows: Male or Female age groups with less than 15 competitors 1st Place only; Male or Female age groups with 15 or more competitors 1st and 2nd place; and Male or Female age groups with 25 or competitors 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded.
Any age grouper that finishes in an overall prize position (1st, 2nd or 3rd Male or Female) will receive the overall prize. That age group prize will then roll down to the next person in that age category. The third place prize will not be less than the age group winner.

An administration fee of 6% will be applied to each order by our online entry system partner, Results Base.
On-the-day – If the event is not full entries will be available at a supplement of £3.
Event limits – Sprint 200 plus 50 relay teams; Standard 300 plus 50 relay teams
Withdrawals Policy
Up until June 14th, 2018 all withdrawals will subject to a 50% charge to cover the costs of processing the entry and refund. After this date no refunds will be given.
