Please note that on-the-day entry and collection of race numbers will be from the Ecocentre, Cockermouth School, CA139HF. The Eco Centre will be open from 5.45pm to 6.45pm.
Car parking and facilities: There is ample parking at the school and toilet and changing facilities.
The race is an out and back to the top of the Hay from Cockermouth School. The first and last section of the race will be on paths/unclosed road. The majority of the course is on footpaths through farmland and race shoes should be chosen with this in mind. The course does not have an official distance certificate but is approximately 3.5 miles.
A plan of the route, course risk assessment and medical risk assessment will be available to view at race entry.
The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Under UKA rules the use of earphones is banned on open roads.
Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be served at the clubhouse following the race.
Prizes will be awarded at the clubhouse for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female runners. Age category prizes will be awarded to the winner of each age group (if this is a top 3 finisher, the award will go to the next finisher on the day).
Individual entry is £7 with a £1 discount available to UKA members.
Subject to availability, on-the-day entries will be £9/£8.
Please note that during the registration process your British Athletics/UKA membership will be checked and if valid the appropriate discount will be applied. Scottish Athletics and Welsh Athletics members can also obtain the discount by entering their membership number into the appropriate field.
An administration fee of £1 will be applied to each entry by our online entry system partner, Results Base.
