Friends of ANCHOR – Helping to make North East Scotland’s cancer and haematology care the best it can be. ANCHOR stands for Aberdeen and North Centre for Haematology, Oncology and Radiotherapy. The ANCHOR Unit covers the dedicated wards and clinics within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for Oncology and haematology patients.

The Red Run supporting Friends of ANCHOR is returning for a 3^RD year. It will consist of a 10k Run, 5k Run, a new combined 5k and 10k ‘Regal Red’ challenge, a 5k Walk and 2 new kids races ‘The Red Rascals’. All routes are relatively flat and suitable for all runners , All routes begin at Fetternear Hall and the runs take place partially on open public roads. For this reason we strongly advise against the use of headphones. All routes will be heavily marshalled and well signposted and we ask that you take great care and adhere to all marshals’ guidance. The kids races will be completely closed off to traffic on an officially closed road and will be very heavily marshalled to ensure safety.

All entrants will receive a red race/walk t shirt and we ask that you wear it on the day to show your support for Friends of ANCHOR. Note that the child-size T-shirts for the walk will be given out at the start and do not need to be pre-ordered.

All finishers will get a custom Red Run medal.

10k: £22 (16 years and over)

5k: £17 (13 years and over, under 16s must run with an adult)

Regal Red 10k/5k: £39 (16 years and over)

Entry includes 5k and 10k medals and T-shirts plus a limited edition Regal Red T-shirt and medal.

5k Walk: £10 (under 5s are FREE)

Red Rascal Kids Races: £10

Entries will close on June 9^th and no entries will be taken on the day.

There will be one water station just before the 5k mark on the 10k race.

Parking

There will be parking at Netherton Business Centre and in adjacent fields to the event if needed, this will be fully marshalled and please park where the marshals ask you to. You will only be able to enter the road for parking from the Kemnay side as we will be operating a one-way system for the safety of the runners.
