Charity Partner
Results Base and Big Cow are happy to be supporting our local charity Willen Hospice with The Xero MK Winter Half Marathon 2020.
About Willen Hospice
"We are proud to be one of the best-loved charities in Milton Keynes, because of the difference we make for people with life-limiting illnesses and at the end of their lives. While we can’t change the diagnosis, we can improve the quality of life of our patients as they face and come to terms with their illness. We help our patients to live as well as they possibly can, we listen to their needs and we also support their families. Dedicated teams provide a range of support including treatment at the Hospice or in patient’s homes; bereavement support for family members; and therapeutic services. We also work closely with GPs, hospitals, community nursing staff and social workers to make sure that our specialist care is practical, informed and supportive at all levels.
Our vision is to always be there to care. To provide that care free of charge, we rely on the generosity of the local community in helping raise £4.7 million every year – that’s £9 every minute of the day."
Marshalling
New for 2020, we are offering free entry to volunteers who help marshal at our events throughout the year. These free places are based on equivalent event type. For example if you marshal at this years MK Winter Half you can get free entry into next years MK Winter Half or MK Autumn Run. Click here for more information!
