Dear athletes,
We are all facing many challenges due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Many athletes experience difficulties to continue their normal training program and see racing opportunities disappear. To support your development and motivation as a triathlete, we like to invite you to join our Youth and Junior Pan European virtual triathlon challenge!
This challenge aims to help your motivation and support your athletic development by incorporating a series of specific goals. We hope this can continue to bring the U20s European tri-community together.
We created a free online platform to collect your training performances. You can upload training files (Strava, Garmin, …), photographs of session data, or just enter your data manually. You can participate in as many challenges as you want, but there’s no need to complete them all.
Some recommendations:
- Check your health before participating in any intense efforts. If you feel not sure about your health status, consult professional medical advice;
- If you use public roads to perform your challenges, be careful and obey traffic and safety regulations;
- We recommend to ask your coach how to incorporate these challenges in your training program. Tip: It’s perfect to build these challenges into your normal training sets.;
- Feel free to share your experiences with other triathletes using your social media and the hashtag #europetrichallenge
- Play safe, play fair, have fun!
Guidelines for taking part
Each week a new challenge will be open. There will be two weeks to complete each challenge. This will give athletes the opportunity to fit the challenges around their training.
You can enter each Challenge individually or all at one time - you can only enter results for Challenges that you have actually entered! To enter you must create a profile on resultsbase.net and you must be 18+ years old to create a profile. If under 18 then a parent or guardian must create the profile and add you as an athlete. Safety is the sole responsibility of the athlete and parent/guardian if U18.
PARTICIPATION IN THE CHALLENGES IS ENTIRELY AT THE PARTICIPANT'S OWN RISK!
When entering your age please remember for all competitions we are looking for your age on December 31st this year. If your birthday is in November and you will be 16 then you enter your age as 16.
The most accurate results will be obtained by completing swims and runs in controlled environments, pool and track. However at this time not everyone will have access to these facilities across all of Europe. For the purposes of this open challenge we will also accept data from open water swims in lakes, rivers or sea, and runs and cycles on roads and trails. Wherever you train you can complete the challenge. If you cannot complete a stage of a challenge leave that section blank. You can still compare any completed sections.
Please refer to the guide on how to upload your results.
