Join the Girls Run the World challenge to virtually run 106 miles around the Alps.
Choose between two event challenge options, depending on your experience:
- Run 106 miles from 1 - 31st August.
- Or race 106 miles from 10th - 16th August.
NOTE: all distances must be entered in Km (kilometres) as internally all Strava and Garmin distances are in Km even if you set the display to be miles.
If you don't have access to trails, just take part for the challenge and motivation. Male runners are welcome to take part.
We are waiving our event fee, and the price of our associated online programme (see below) to raise money for the charity Refuge. You can donate via the link in your event registration receipt.

Our mission is to empower women through running and triathlon. Our specific goal with V Ultra Alps and training programme is to increase diversity and female participation in trail running. Last year, the number of women who took part in the Ultra Trail Mont Blanc, (106 miles) was just 11%, around 220 women.
Share this event and share your photographs from your runs throughout the month using the hashtag
#grtwrunhigh and let's get at least 2200 women running, which will match the total number of UTMB participants in 2019.
