Our annual 10k Trail Run at the outstanding Slaley Hall Estate returns in August this year on a Summer's afternoon.
The world has changed over the past four months but we are now able to get back to a little bit of normality. This is our first event since lockdown and we can now offer a staggered start event where runners, spectators and our staff will keep to the current Social Distance guidelines at the time of the event.
Currently we will start runners in groups of 6 either with your friends or if you specify an estimated finishing time - see below for instructions.
If the guidelines ease we will increase the starting groups. All other Government guidelines on hosting events will be adhered to from posting out numbers to removing baggage areas and strict toilet controls.
Last year was a sell out and those who ran loved the testing and varied course almost as much as their bacon sarnies and coffee at the end. This year the food and drink will be served on the outdoor terrace and can be enjoyed overlooking the fantastic courses.
This year we will also have a 5k and a Family 2k where kids 5-11 can run with their parents around the estate. ADULTS RUN FOR FREE IN THE FAMILY RUN BUT WON'T RECIEVE ANYTHING AT THE END OF THE RUN.
Run around the golf course, buggy paths, quad bike tracks, beautiful woodland trails and finish outside the splendid hotel.
All finishers of all 3 events will recieve a MORE MILE T-SHIRT, FOOD (bacon sarnie or alternative) & A DRINK. (adults-tea/coffee, children-cold drink)
Why not stay for a pint or glass of wine after your run on the magnificent terrace area outside the hotel?
Check out photos on our website and Facebook of the 2019 race.
Entering as a group or by time
If you wish to run as a group (maximum six per group) you should either select 'Create Group' or, if a group that you wish to join has been started by someone else, select 'Join Group'. You can still choose to enter an estimated finish time but the Group will take precedence.
If you wish to run as an individual select 'None' and then enter an estimated finishing time so we can group similarly paced individuals together in groups of six.
