Run Your Neighbourhood
Welcome to ‘Run Your Neighbourhood’ - the six week plan designed to help you to train and run a 5k or 10k virtual race!
On the last weekend before Christmas (Sat 19th & Sun 20th December) we are inviting people all over Ireland to 'Run Your Neighbourhood' and to take on the challenge of whichever distance you have trained for.
5km: New to Running or Getting Fit?
If you are new to running or looking to just get fit, you’ll be able to concentrate on building your Run/Walk fitness to completing a five kilometre run in six weeks.
10km: Tackling Something Tougher
If you are a more seasoned athlete, the 10k plan is the one for you. You can choose to complete your first 'distance race' or perhaps set a new PB after six weeks of training with a plan from Triathlon Ireland's National Head Coach, Michael Black!
How it Works
- Once you've registered on this site we'll send you an email with your training plan.
- Every week we'll put out training tips and updates on our social media to keep you motivated.
- All the results from race weekend will be displayed on this site. (to be eligible, you'll need to enter your result - only results backed with a data file will be eligible for the overall table).
NOTE: You must be 16 years old or over to take part in Run Your Neighbourhood. If you are aged 16 or 17, you must also get your parent or guardian to register you using their email address - Triathlon Ireland cannot communicate with U18 athletes.
