Information and registration

Saturday 20th February and Sunday 21st February 2021

Note - if the weather is particularly bad (snow / ice) or if Welsh or Government guidelines make this date unachievable we will postpone to a future date.

A novel, virtually run event which you can do either as an individual or as a club team where the distances total the Marathon distance of 26.2 miles (42.2km)
  • Saturday 9am - (not)parkrun - must submit time by 11:00am
  • Saturday 1pm - Half Marathon - must submit time by 4:00pm
  • Sunday 10am - 10k road run - must submit time by 1:00pm
  • Sunday 1pm - 4.5km off road - must submit time by 3:00pm
  • Sunday 3pm - 1 mile - must submit time by 4:00pm

Entries - only open to members of the clubs in the BCRL league

Register as an Individual to run all events or as a Team to share the effort. Up to 5 people can be in a team, where there are less than 5 in the team, team members can run more than one stage to complete the set.

Entry fees

£10 an Individual or £20 per Team – unique BCRL buff to all entrants.

An administration fee of 6% will be applied by our online entry system partner, Results Base.

Age Categories

Men and Women - Senior, Over 35 and Over 55 or Mixed

All event profit to charity. Each club to nominate a charity and then entrants vote when they enter. Top charity receives 50% of profits, with the others receiving 10% each.

Notes and Rules

  • Only runners of the BCRL Clubs allowed. Run and licenced under UK Athletics rules
  • Routes must be either flat, undulating, or uphill!
  • Similar start and finish points (within 200m of each other)
  • NO downhill or wind assisted routes!
  • Leaderboard will be updated throughout the weekend
  • Substitutes can be added up to a late stage, if need permits
  • (not)parkrun 5k route must NOT be a tradiaional parkrun route
  • Athletes must avoid popular running/walking routes at busy times.
  • Be considerate to others by keeping a minimum of 2m distance at all times when passing in public.
  • Do not drive somewhere to run - stay as close to your home as possible.
  • All runs must start and finish at around the same point (200m leeway for GPS errors) - either lapped or out and back.
  • Lapped off-track courses must not include laps of less than 1km.
  • Runs must not take place on a track
  • All Welsh Government guidelines regarding physical distancing must be strictly adhered to.  Any changes to Welsh Government guidelines/law will be implemented immediately.
  • You must only run alone or with someone from your own household/support bubble.
  • Cross country route should take place entierly on grass / mud, not on the road or stone footpaths.
  • Results must be uploaded within 1 hour of finishing.
     

Under Covid restrictions - your run must remain local to your home!
