Following months of uncertainty, we’re delighted to confirm that the Run Leicester Half Marathon will be going ahead this year!
On Sunday 31st October, we’ll be bringing thousands of runners from Leicester and beyond together for our new-look Run Leicester Half Marathon! Beginning in Leicester’s Victoria Park, we’ll be taking you on a tour of Leicester’s city centre streets and beautiful parks on our much-loved original half marathon route.
Registration opens at 9:00am on Friday 30th July.
The first 500 places are available for just £31 for unaffiliated runners, or £29 for those registered with UK Athletics!
We’d like to thank you all for your patience whilst we’ve been working on securing the relevant permissions and planning the logistics of the event.
We’re doing everything we can to make this an enjoyable and safe day for all and are thrilled to finally have the go ahead!
If you have previously deferred an entry from 2020, then you will receive an email once entries have opened with details of how to claim your place.
Please note that in the wake of COVID-19 we have decided not to host the full-marathon distance event this year; instead focussing our efforts on giving you all the best Leicester Half Marathon experience ever with plenty of entertainment to keep you going all the way to the finish line! Registration includes a finishers medal for all runners.

Registration closes at midnight on Wednesday 27th October 2021.
There will be no entries on the day.
Please note that during the registration process your British Athletics/UKA membership will be checked and if valid the appropriate discount will be applied. Welsh/Scottish Athletics members should use the appropriate entry option to obtain their equivalent discount. An administration fee of 6% will be applied to each order by our online entry system partner, Results Base.

Transfers and Deferrals
If you enter the event and subsequently are unable to participate due to injury or personal circumstances you may transfer your entry to a third party providing you use the process that is detailed HERE.
Transfers are allowed up to Sunday 24th October and after that point no further transfers will be allowed. Deferrals are possible up until Sunday 3rd October and after that point no further deferrals will be allowed. The exception to this being if you test positive for COVID-19 or have to isolate and can provide evidence of this, in which case we will accept a deferral beyond 3rd October.
