Cornelly Striders are excited to announce a new route for 2025, close to the Prince of Wales Inn. The new route, with a taste of the old traditions, supported by The Prince of Wales Inn and The Trustees of Kenfig Nature Reserve.
The event will take place on a multi terrain course heading from Kenfig Nature Reserve West of the lake and complete an out and back route. The Prince of Wales Inn will provide soup for all runners after the race (please indicate when you register if your require soup) and prizes will be awarded at this time for the 1st Male and Female Senior and Junior, along with a spot prize.
The race starts at 11am on Wednesday 1st January 2025 with number collection from the Race HQ (see map) from 10am.
Approx. run distance is 5km
Parking at the event is at Kenfig Nature Reserve CF33 4PT and is subject to the usual fees. There will no parking at the Inn, or leading up to the Inn, in either direction. Abiding by this is essential to the race continuing in future years. Crossing points will be in place from the race area to the Inn and back over to the path leading back to the car park. These crossing points are to be used for the safety of all those attending the event. Toilet facilities will be available at the reserve centre.
Entry fees
£8 (plus admin fee) for non affiliated runners and £6 (plus admin fee) for affiliated runners - entries close at 12 noon on Monday 30th December 2024.
Nobody under the age of 16 is allowed to enter.
