A multi-terrain race of approximately 5.5 miles.

The course starts at Cockermouth School with the first three miles on undulating road. The course is then on uneven track through Setmurphy Woods returning to the school through fields on grass.

Please choose footwear to suit the terrain and weather conditions on the day. The highest point of the course is exposed to the elements so warmer layers may be required. 

The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Under UKA rules the use of earphones is banned on open roads.

Entry fees

Individual entry is £8 with a £2 discount available to UKA members.

Please note that during the registration process your British Athletics/UKA membership will be checked and if valid the appropriate discount will be applied. Scottish Athletics and Welsh Athletics members can also obtain the discount by entering their membership number into the appropriate field.

An administration fee of £1 will be applied to each entry by our online entry system partner, Results Base.
