Event Information
The race starts at 7:00pm on Tuesday 16 July 2019.
Closing date for online entries is 6:00pm Sunday 14 July 2019.
Location
Whitehaven Harbourside. Race starts on the harbour front near Tesco.
Facilities
Parking is available in Whitehaven.
Toilets are available in the registration area.
Registration is at the Harbour Youth Project (under the multi-car park).
Prize giving will take place here and light refreshments will be available.
Race Numbers & Race Day Information
Race numbers will be issued at race registration. Entries on the day will be available subject to maximum entry of 200 runners.

5:45pm – 6:45pm
Registration will take place at the Harbour Youth Project (5 minutes from the start).
Prices
UKA Members £5.00, Non UKA Members £7.00
Entries on the day: UKA Members £8.00, Non UKA Members £10.00
An administration fee of £1 per entry will be applied to your order by our online entry system partner, Results Base.
Course
The route is an out and back course. It starts on the Harbour-side and continues along the Harbour towards the Beacon and Haig Pit, before turning and coming back the same way. The course climbs up the candlestick area where there are a number of low walls and part of the ground on this section is gravel. Besides from the one climb the course is flat and fast.
The course will be well signed and marshalled. There are parts that are not traffic free and the paths are not closed to members of the public. Runners need to adhere to marshals instructions around the course.

This is an officially measured and certified accurate course by the Association of UK Course Measurers.
Risk Assessment
A full course risk assessment will be on display at the event HQ on race day together with maps of the route, the race permit and the measurement certificate in accordance with UKA rules (Permit No TBA).
Race safety briefing
The race briefing will take place at 6:55pm, prior to the start of the race.
1st aid provision will be provided by Steve Wilson, 1st Aid Associates.
There will be a lead bike and sweeper runner.
Prize presentation
Prizes will be presented in the Harbour Youth Project centre. This will take place once all runners have completed the course. Light refreshments will be available prior to prize giving.
If you are unable to stay please arrange for someone to collect your prize for you.
Prizes
1st, 2nd and 3rd Male & Female.
Age Groups – Veteran male and female prizes in 5 year categories from age 35.
Male and female junior prize (11-17 age group)
Any age grouper that finishes in an overall prize position (1st, 2nd or 3rd Male or Female) will receive the overall prize. That age group prize will then roll down to the next person in that age category.

Withdrawals Policy
Withdrawals and number swaps will be allowed up until 9 July 2019. Refunds will be subject to a charge to cover costs of processing the entry and refund. After this date no refunds or change of runner will be given.
