UPDATE- Final Registration Option

Alnwick Harriers Coastal Run

Thank you to everyone who has registered for our annual Coastal Run, we very much look forward to seeing you there.

For anyone who is still interested in joining us on the day we are opening registration for two days in July: Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th. This will enable you to register for the event, however, it will not be possible to order buses to the start, or T-shirts, due to orders already been submitted.

Numbers: Your numbers will be sent to your address you registered with Results Base (you can see this on the Ticket in your Results Base profile) approximately 2 weeks prior to the event. For those registering on the 6/7th July you will be able to pick your numbers up on the day.

Please note any replacement numbers will cost £5 and can be collected on the day.

Alnwick Harriers will be once again hosting the Northumberland Coastal Run. We are keen to work closely with our community and environment so this year we are restricting our numbers to 1000. We will also be including a T-shirt in the cost of registration with an option to donate its value to charity, if you don't require one.

We are aiming to open registration on the 19th January so please add this to your calendar. The cost this year will be £39 for affiliated runners and £41 for all those not affiliated. The coach to the start will be available at a cost of £6 per head.

Please note there will be no option to transfer or receive any refunds once registered. We are also not able to roll your registration over to the following year. It is also suggested that if you are unsure if you need the bus seat, please book it, as we are unable to provide more spaces at a later date.

Race Information

The route

The route will go back to its original format so we will be heading directly to Alnmouth crossing the Beadnell Bay Beach

The 14 mile run goes through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty along the Northumberland coastal path from Beadnell Harbour to Alnmouth Estuary, keeping as close to the coast as possible.

The route starts on sand, then onto road, sand, trail, road and finishes on sand at Alnmouth.

The race is not suitable for wheelchairs.

No animals are allowed within the race.

Minimum age of entry 18.

Race start time is 09.30am at Beadnell and there is a three hour 30 minute cut-off. This is NOT a fun run, it is a challenging and unmarked course.

Entry fee

£39 for UKA/British Athletics affiliated runners (your membership number will be checked during entry)

£41 for non-affiliated runners (select the non-UKA/British Athletics option at the membership check)

An administration fee of 5% will be applied to each order by our online entry system partner, Results Base.

No refunds under any circumstances, and no deferrals.

No Transfers

Anyone suspected of running with someone else's number will be disqualified from the results.

Parking

Parking at both Beadnell and Alnmouth is very limited. Please respect the village's wishes and park in the designated car park at the bus collection point at Hipsburn School. Clubs who normally bring buses should already have been contacted by a member of Alnwick Harriers to confirm which parking spot you have as there is no facility in Alnmouth for buses not booked in.
