How does it work?
This year there are five challenges going right through January, each one starting on a Freiday and lasting a week.
Each week, your challenge is to use your body to move 5K Your Way.
Run, walk, cycle, scoot, or any other modality of self-powered movement you enjoy.
Each weekly challenge costs £5 which all goes directly to the charity.
Enter ALL 5 events for £20 and receive a special event Bobble Hat.
Complete all five 5KYW Challenges to receive your commemorative medal.
Children under 16 are also welcome and can enter at the reduced rate of £2.50 per event / £10.00 for all 5. Those who complete all five will get a special medal personalised with their name on.
Each week we will have a theme and encourage everyone to share their pictures of how they did their 5K their way on the ERDINGER Alkoholfrei Facebook page. We will be giving out a selection of Spot Prizes to encourage you!

What is it for?
5K Your Way is a community-based initiative to encourage those living with and beyond cancer, families, friends and those working in cancer services to walk, jog, run, cheer or volunteer at a local 5k Your Way parkrun event on the last Saturday of every month.
This initiative was founded by Lucy Gossage, Oncologist at Nottingham City Hospital and a 12 times Ironman Champion, and Gemma Hillier-Moses, International Runner and Founder of MOVE charity who was diagnosed with cancer herself at the age of 24 in 2012. Lucy and Gemma are both hugely passionate about supporting people living with and beyond cancer through the power of movement, also supporting the wider cancer community including friends, family members, doctors, nurses and health professionals.
All of the money will go back into the 5k Your Way initiative, run through MOVE Charity. This will enable more people to start Moving Against Cancer.
A few notes before you go...
- Give way to others when you are moving.
- Remember this is your own route at your own pace.
- This is all about completing the 5K Your Way. Any kind of self powered movement can count.
- If 5K in one go is too much, then you can amalgamate a few shorter distances together (just enter the combined time).
- Submit your photographic evidence...
